Wedding Invitation Timetable

  • Send out Save the Dates up to 1 year in advance
  • Register your gift list about 6 months in advance – see our Gift List page for ideas and etiquette
  • Set up your wedding website 6 months in advance
  • Send your invitations to guests 5-6 months in advance, with an RSVP date of 2-3 months before the wedding date.
  • You can then update your website periodically with any important information that has changed, or alternatively you could just email your guests regarding hotels, flights etc. It is the 21st century after all.

  • An optional extra of a postcard of your venue, with a brief sentence or two regarding your unusual decision to marry overseas.
