Dominica is a spectacular green island of rugged mountains, lush rainforests and rushing rivers in the Eastern Caribbean. It lies south of Guadeloupe and north of Martinique and is the least developed of the Windward Islands. Marriage requirements: A special marriage licence can be obtained from the Ministry of Community Development. An appointment must be made with the Registrar for marriage, once a completed application form has been signed by both parties and witnessed by a Magistrate or Commissioner of Oath.
Residency requirement: Two days prior to licence application, although this information is subject to change.
Fees: Special Licence EC$300 excluding EC$5 postage stamp for each party. For marriages within the Registrars office – EC$30. For marriages outside Registrars office – EC$100. Please note, however, that this information is subject to change.
Witnesses: Two people are required.
